Importance of Cultivating a Loving Heart for Inner Peace & Happiness

In this talk, H.E. Ling Rinpoche will explore the importance of cultivating a loving and compassionate heart as the foundation for genuine inner peace and happiness.
In our busy and often challenging lives, we may search for happiness in external circumstances. Buddhist teachings point to another source: the development of a kind and compassionate mind. By learning to cultivate loving-kindness toward ourselves and others, we can create greater peace within our own minds and contribute to a more harmonious world.
This talk offers a meaningful introduction to Buddhist wisdom and is open to everyone — both newcomers and those already familiar with Buddhist practice.

De fyra omätbara tankarna - även kända som de fyra sublima attityderna - är grundläggande kontemplationer på den buddhistiska vägen som vidgar hjärtat bortom självcentrerade bekymmer. De är följande:
Kärleksfull vänlighet - önskar alla varelser äkta lycka och välbefinnande.
Medkänsla - önskar att alla varelser ska vara fria från lidande och dess orsaker.
Glädje - glädjas åt andras lycka och välgång.
Jämlikhet - utveckla en opartisk, balanserad omtanke om alla varelser, fri från bindningar och aversioner.
Tillsammans kultiverar dessa meditationer en omfattande och gränslös attityd av omsorg, vilket utgör grunden för bodhicitta - den altruistiska avsikten att uppnå upplysning till förmån för alla varelser.
Under dessa sessioner, H.E. Ling Rinpoche kommer att erbjuda undervisning om hur man kultiverar dessa omätbara kvaliteter i det dagliga livet och meditationsutövningen. Dessa instruktioner utgör en viktig grund för både sutra- och tantrautövning inom Gelug-traditionen.
Flyktinglöften

Att ta sin tillflykt är ett formellt steg i att förbinda sig till den buddhistiska vägen. Det är en ceremoni där man medvetet vänder sig till Buddha, Dharma och Sangha som pålitliga källor till vägledning och skydd.

Vajrasattva-initiering
24 maj | kl. 14.00-16.00
The Vajrasattva initiation is a tantric empowerment connected with purification practice. Vajrasattva is associated with the purification of negative karma and obstacles.
Receiving this initiation creates a strong connection with the practice and opens the door to engaging in Vajrasattva meditation within the Vajrayana tradition.
About the Initiation
- This is a Kriya Tantra jenang (blessing empowerment)
- Vajrasattva with Wisdom Mother
- No tantric vows are conferred
- H.E. Ling Rinpoche will offer the Bodhisattva vows prior to the initiation
- Commitment: to maintain the Bodhisattva vows (there are no commitments related to the initiation itself)
Requirements
- H.E. Ling Rinpoche’s requirement is that the students have faith in the 3 Jewels
- The good news is that refuge vows will be bestowed prior to the initiation on May 24 from 10:00 – 12:00

General Information
- Teachings will be translated into ENGLISH
- On Wednesday 6th of May from 6 to 7.30pm Ven Khadro will offer a free ONLINE talk to explain the Refuge ceremony & the Vajrasattva initiation for those interested.
- Limited onsite space: 70 seats – make sure you book early and don’t miss out
- Warm drinks and simple fika offered
- Bring your own lunch, get at the local ICA (no microwave available) or go to local Vegan Cafe Mahalo
- Students not living locally please book your own accommodation, we don’t offer any at our center
- For the last day you are most welcome to bring cash and a khata to make offerings to Rinpoche
- We request 15min early arrival to each session, latecomers disrupt the audience
- Kindly avoid using perfume, as some of our students are very sensitive to it.
- Children of age 10 and older are welcome to the event
Om H.E. Ling Rinpoche
H.E. Ling Rinpoche is a highly respected Lama of the Tibetan Buddhist tradition and the reincarnation of the former H.H. the 6th Kyabjé Yongzin Ling Rinpoche, His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama’s Principal Teacher and the 97th Ganden Tripa, the longest serving head of the Gelug tradition.
Efter att ha avslutat sina studier till Geshe började Ling Rinpoche resa runt i världen för att främja fred, undervisa, ge initieringar och offentliga föredrag samt delta i buddhistiska och interreligiösa konferenser och samhällsevenemang. Rinpoche har också organiserat och fungerat som sändebud vid viktiga historiska buddhistiska evenemang.
