VEGAN RETREAT COOK

We are looking for a passionate chef to help us serve nourishing vegan food during our courses and retreats!

Yeshin Norbu is a nonprofit organisation offering courses within the fields of secular mindfulness and compassion, body awareness, and Tibetan Buddhism. The organisation was founded in 2017 and is affiliated with the Foundation for the Preservation of the Mahayana Tradition (FPMT), an international organization with 165 centres and projects in 40 countries. Since 2021, Yeshin Norbu is implementing a three-year pilot project to implement the SEE Learning curriculum in Swedish Schools. SEE Learning provides educators with the tools they need to foster the development of emotional, social, and ethical intelligence for students and themselves.

As part of our curriculum, we offer retreats for those who are curious about deepening their understanding of a particular topic, or who simply long for a bit of peace and quiet.

We host single-day retreats at our center in Stockholm once every month. We also have a few longer retreats, 3-5 days, every term. In addition, our one week summer retreat which takes place at a beautiful spot outside of Sala, is part of our annual routine. We are now looking for an exceptional individual who would like to help us by preparing delicious vegan food during some of these events.

Your tasks will include planning, cooking and serving food. We are looking for someone who is conscious in their cooking, used to making a lot with a little and who takes pride in working for others. You do not need to have any official training but should feel comfortable with managing the kitchen and cooking for up to 50 people.

This is on a volunteer basis only but we gladly offer free access to all of Yeshin Norbu’s courses and events.
