Buddha presenterade lĂ€ran om de tvĂ„ sanningarna som ett sĂ€tt att förstĂ„ verkligheten pĂ„ tvĂ„ nivĂ„er – den konventionella nivĂ„n och den yttersta nivĂ„n av hur allting existerar. Det Ă€r nĂ€r vi inte Ă€r medvetna om dessa olika nivĂ„er av verkligheten som vi gör misstag och skapar orsaker till lidande i vĂ„ra egna och andras liv. Enligt den buddhistiska lĂ€ran Ă€r det den grundlĂ€ggande okunnigheten om den yttersta nivĂ„n av verkligheten, av oss sjĂ€lva och all annan existens, som hĂ„ller oss fast i en stĂ€ndig cykel av ofrivilligt missnöje. Att förstĂ„ de tvĂ„ sanningarna Ă€r starten pĂ„ resan mot sann tillfredsstĂ€llelse, evig lycka och upplysning.

 

I den hÀr endagskursen kommer Venerable Michael ge en introduktion till de tvÄ sanningarna, vi kommer att meditera tillsammans och det kommer att finnas tid för frÄgor och diskussion.

The Buddha presented the teachings on the two truths as a means to understand reality on two levels – the conventional and ultimate mode of existence of everything. It is when we are unaware of the different levels of reality that we make mistakes and create causes for misery in our own and others’ lives. According to the Buddhist teachings it is a fundamental ignorance of the ultimate reality, of ourselves and all other existence, which keeps us in a cycle of involuntary perpetual dissatisfaction. Whereas gaining an understanding of the two truths serves as basis for entering the path that leads to true satisfaction and everlasting happiness of enlightenment.

 

In this one day course Venerable Michael will give an introduction to the two truths, we will meditate together and there will be time for questions and discussion.

  • Venerable Michael Yeshe

    Venerable Michael Yeshe

    Venerable Michael was born in London in 1966 to a Greek father and a Belgian mother. He was raised in Kopan Monastery in Nepal and has been a monk in the Tibetan Buddhist tradition since the age of 7. At age 13, he entered the Sera Jey Monastic University in South India where he spent the next 18 years studying Buddhist Philosophy. Since 1996, Ven Michael Yeshe has been invited to Buddhist centres in America, Singapore, Malaysia and Holland as a translator and teacher. For 11 years he was residing at the Tara Institute in Melbourne where he served as translator for Venerable Geshe Doga. During the autumn 2020 Venerable Michael is resident teacher at Yeshin Norbu and leads our courses and retreats connected to the Discovering Buddhism study program, Introduction to Buddhism, Introduction to Buddhist meditation, Buddhism in a nutshell, Meditation evening with Venerable Michael, We practice together and Nyung-nÀ retreat.
