Helgö-Buddhans resa i vikingatider
Öppet hus på Yeshin Norbu med buddhastatyutställning och presentation om Helgö-Buddhan, en buddhafigur från folkvandringstiden som hittades i utgrävningar på Helgö år 1954. Under kvällen erbjuds också prova-på- meditationer, Bathing Baby Buddha ceremoni, en mandalautställning kurerad av Ingela Hageman, fika, med mera. Eventet är Gratis. Varmt Välkommen!

18:00 – 18:15 — Dörrarna öppnas
18:15 – 18:45 — Presentation om centret och guidad meditation
19:00 – 19:30 — Presentation av Helgö-Buddhan. Per Bertilsson berättar om Helgö-Buddhans resa i vikingatider från norra Indien till Sverige.
19:45 – 20:15 — Vad är meningen med livet från ett buddhistiskt perspektiv? Föreläsning om meningen med livet av Venerable Michael, en tibetansk buddhistisk lärare.
20:45 – 21:00 — Guidad meditation. Prova på enkel meditation.
Welcome to the the journey of Helgö Buddha during the Viking age!
Open house at Yeshin Norbu offers an exhibition of Buddha statues and a presentation of Helgö Buddha, a small Buddha statue from the Viking age discovered during excavations at Helgö island in 1954. During the evening there will also be an ongoing mandala exhibition curated by Ingela Hageman, a Bathing Baby Buddha Ceremony, meditation sessions and fika.
This event is free of charge. All are Welcome!

18:15 – 18:45 — Presentation of the center and guided meditation
19:00 – 19:30 — The presentation of Helgö Buddha. Per Bertilsson tells about the journey of the Helgö Buddha from India to Sweden during Viking times.
19:45 – 20:15 — What is the meaning of life from a Buddhist perspective? A teaching about the meaning of life by Venerable Michael, a Tibetan Buddhist teacher.
20:45 – 21:00 — Guided meditation. Try simple meditation.

Per Bertilsson
Per Bertilsson
Per has had a long international career working for UN-agencies and other international organizations on developmental issues focusing on environmental and natural resources management and social development. He has lived and worked in many countries in Asia, Africa and Latin America for close to 30 years. In parallel with his professional career, Per has been a student of Buddhism and Buddhist history and art. He has a particular interest in the historical evolution of Buddhism. Per is committed to promoting secular ethics as an essential part of addressing the challenges of today’s society.
Per leads our book circles and is the chairman of the board of Yeshin Norbu Non-profit organization.

Venerable Michael Yeshe
Venerable Michael Yeshe
Venerable Michael was born in London in 1966 to a Greek father and a Belgian mother. He was raised in Kopan Monastery in Nepal and has been a monk in the Tibetan Buddhist tradition since the age of 7. At age 13, he entered the Sera Jey Monastic University in South India where he spent the next 18 years studying Buddhist Philosophy. Since 1996, Ven Michael Yeshe has been invited to Buddhist centres in America, Singapore, Malaysia and Holland as a translator and teacher. For 11 years he was residing at the Tara Institute in Melbourne where he served as translator for Venerable Geshe Doga.
Venerable Michael is a resident teacher at Yeshin Norbu since autumn 2020 and leads our Buddhist courses and retreats.

Zarina is a spiritual program coordinator at Yeshin Norbu. She is a certified Cultivating Emotional Balance facilitator and Iyengar yoga teacher.
