Saka Dawa is one of the four great holy days of the Tibetan calendar, commemorating Shakyamuni Buddha’s birth, enlightenment, and passing into parinirvana. It is a very powerful time to practice and increase one’s commitment to both practice and study.
We will do practices recommended by Lama Zopa Rinpoche this evening: recite Vajra Cutter Sutra and do Buddha Shakyamuni Meditation. We will read King of Prayers for dedications.
Offerings of vegetarian food or flowers for the altar and donations are welcome. Donations will be used for future puja activities.
