——————ENGLISH——————
In this first module of Discovering Buddhism we examine the meaning of âmindâ according to Buddhism, its nature and function, and how it determines our experience of happiness and suffering. We explore the differentiation between mind and brain, how mind is the creator of our experiences, and the implications of possessing a mind that has no beginning and no end. You will learn methods to transform destructive thoughts and attitudes and develop a more positive and joyous mind.
Be prepared to look deeply into your own mind to discover its nature, its functions and the profound depth of its potential. Be prepared to look into the particular mind-set generated by your culture and society, education, religious background and environment, and the upbringing you have had within your family.
