——————ENGLISH——————

Most of us today know that physical exercise is incredibly important to our well-being, both physically and psychologically. What is not as well known is that it is possible to train the brain!

Research has shown that mindfulness training and meditation actually change the brain and strengthen important mental qualities such as focus, awareness and mental clarity, but also compassion and joy. It reduces stress, worry, and scattered attention, and gives us better control over our own thoughts and emotional reactions.

For many, “meditation” may sound fuzzy and there are many misconceptions. But what it is all about are well-proven methods of mind training, just as with physical training we can strengthen the positive qualities we want more of ourselves.

During this introduction, we explain what mindfulness and meditation are, what research there is to support them, and how to meditate. You will get to try some simple meditation exercises and there is an opportunity to ask questions. We also present our program to anyone who is interested in learning more and integrating meditation as part of their daily routine.

What will I take away into my daily life?

  • What are the effects of mindfulness training and meditation
  • What kind of research supports it?
  • How to make meditation a part of your daily routine
  • Try meditation together with others
  • Get an introduction to methods that create more mental focus, relaxation and clarity
  • Introduction to Yeshin Norbu’s program and courses
