Big Love day is the day of commemorating Lama Yeshe, who together with Lama Zopa Rinpoche, founded FPMT, of which Yeshin Norbu is a part of.
Welcome to a friendly gathering this Thursday evening! We will have a potluck dinner, so please feel free to bring a dish or two to share. Dishes have to be vegan.
Gun Cisse will make a presentation with photos from her trip to the Kopan Monastery in Nepal, founded by Lama Yeshe and Lama Zopa Rinpoche, in the late 1970s. It will be a special experience as we will use a diafilm projector to show the photos!
Some of our members visited India and Nepal in December and are happy to share their impressions about visiting the places like Bodhgaya where Shakyamuni was enlightened, Lumbini where he was born, the holy city of Varanasi, the Kopan Monastery in Nepal, Dharamsala where His Holiness the Dalai Lama lives. They will also share how it is to participate in the teachings by His Holiness the Dalai Lama in India together with thousands of monks and nuns as well as lay people from all over the world.
