Lhabab Duchen
Join us for a special day of practice and celebration on Lhabab Duchen, one of the four great Buddhist holy days of the year. This auspicious occasion commemorates Buddha Shakyamuni’s return to Earth after teaching in the heavenly realm of Tushita, and is considered a powerful time for practice and creating positive potential.
Through collective prayer, chanting, and offering practices, we come together as a community to rejoice, cultivate compassion and wisdom, and dedicate our efforts for the benefit of all beings.

About This Event
Lhabab Duchen is a particularly meaningful day in the Buddhist calendar, when the results of positive and negative actions are traditionally understood to be greatly multiplied. It is therefore considered an especially powerful opportunity to engage in virtuous activities, make offerings, and dedicate the merit for the benefit of all beings.
During this afternoon practice, we will engage in an extensive offering practice including light offerings, prayers, and the chanting of the Names of Manjushri.
Through these practices, we create the causes for wisdom, compassion, and the removal of obstacles on the path to awakening, while rejoicing in the kindness and activities of the Buddhas.
Everyone is warmly welcome to join, whether you are familiar with these practices or encountering them for the first time.
