DĂ€refter kommer sjĂ€lvmedkĂ€nsla – att ge oss sjĂ€lva kĂ€rleksfull medveten nĂ€rvaro. Tillsammans utgör mindfulness och sjĂ€lvmedkĂ€nsla ett tillstĂ„nd av varm nĂ€rvaro under svĂ„ra stunder i vĂ„ra liv.
De flesta av oss kĂ€nner medkĂ€nsla nĂ€r en nĂ€ra vĂ€n kĂ€mpar. Hur skulle det vara att fĂ„ ta emot samma omsorg frĂ„n dig sjĂ€lv nĂ€r du behövde det som mest? Allt som behövs Ă€r ett skifte i din uppmĂ€rksamhet – att erkĂ€nna att du som mĂ€nniska ocksĂ„ Ă€r en vĂ€rdig mottagare av medkĂ€nsla. SjĂ€lvmedkĂ€nsla lĂ€r man sig delvis genom att komma i kontakt med sin medfödda medkĂ€nsla, och den i sin tur utvidgar förmĂ„gan att vara medkĂ€nnande med andra.
Forskning visar att sjĂ€lvmedkĂ€nsla Ă€r starkt förknippad med kĂ€nslomĂ€ssigt vĂ€lbefinnande, bĂ€ttre förmĂ„ga att hantera livets utmaningar, lĂ€gre nivĂ„er av Ă„ngest och depression, hĂ€lsosamma vanor som kost och motion och mer tillfredsstĂ€llande personliga relationer. Mindful Self-Compassion (MSC) combines the skills of mindfulness and self-compassion to enhance our capacity for emotional wellbeing. Mindfulness is the first stepâturning with loving awareness toward difficult experience (emotions, sensations, thoughts). Self-compassion comes nextâbringing loving awareness to ourselves. Together, mindfulness and self-compassion comprise a state of warm, connected presence during difficult moments in our lives.
Most of us feel compassion when a close friend is struggling. What would it be like to receive the same caring attention from yourself when you needed it the most? All thatâs required is a shift in attentionârecognizing that as a human being, you, too, are a worthy recipient of compassion. Self-compassion is learned, in part, by connecting with our innate compassion and it further expands our capacity to be compassionate with others.
Burgeoning research shows that self-compassion is strongly associated with emotional wellbeing, coping with life challenges, lower levels of anxiety and depression, healthy habits such as diet and exercise, and more satisfying personal relationships. It is an inner strength that enables us to be more fully humanâto acknowledge our shortcomings, learn from them, and make necessary changes with an attitude of kindness and self-respect.

After participating in this workshop, you will be able to:
âą Practice self-compassion in daily life
âą Understand the science of self-compassion
âą Motivate yourself with kindness rather than criticism
âą Handle difficult emotions with greater ease

âą Practice the art of savouring and self-appreciation
âą Teach simple self-compassion exercises to clients
Program activities include talks, meditation, experiential exercises, and group discussion. Participants will directly experience self-compassion and learn practices that evoke self-compassion in daily life.

Instructor
Camilla Sköld, PhD is a registered physiotherapist with a basic training in cognitive relational psychotherapy who is an international certified teacher trainer in Mindfulness based Stress Reduction, MBSR. She has been teaching the MSC program in Stockholm since 2014. She is the founder of Center for Mindfulness Sweden and she initiated the first academic course in Mindfulness-based approach at the medical university, Karolinska Institutet, KI in 2007. She gained her undergraduate and doctoral at KI in Stockholm. Her doctoral degree is in neuroscience.

Camilla Sköld, med Dr i neurovetenskap och leg Sjukgymnast, har grundlÀggande psykoterapeututbildning med relationell inriktning, Àr grundare av Center for Mindfulness Sweden, CFMSweden. Hon har lÀrarcertifiering i Mindfulness Baserad Stress Reduktion, MBSR och Àr en bland knappt ett 50-tal i vÀrlden med certifiering i att utbilda MBSR-lÀrare med utbildning frÄn Center for Mindfulness, University of Massachusetts Medical School i USA. Camilla Àr ocksÄ utbildad i Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy, MBCT, Mindful Self-Compassion, MSC, Interpersonal Mindfulness Program, IMP och Àr certifierad lÀrare i Samayoga enligt Yoga Alliance. Hon ger certifierande lÀrarutbildning i MBSR pÄ CFMSweden sedan 2008 och har undervisat internationellt pÄ CFM i USA mellan 2011-2013. Hon Àr initiativtagare till och kursansvarig för Mindfulnessbaserad Stresshantering pÄ Karolinska Institutet, som sedan 2007 erbjuds inom ramen för alla grundutbildnings-programmen. Detta var den första kursen i mindfulnessbaserad metodik vid en medicinsk fakultet i Sverige. Camilla har engagerat sig i Centrum för Social HÄllbarhet, CSS vid Karolinska Institutet som arbetar för att skapa forskning, utbildning och spridning av medkÀnsla och altruism i samhÀllet. Time: 12:00-12:30
Language: Swedish or English depending on the participants
Location: At the centre and online via Zoom. When you have purchased a ticket you will receive an email with the link to the Zoom meeting
Ticket price: Minimum donation 50 SEK
Last day of registration: The same day, 5 minutes to 12:00
Registration/Buy ticket: You register by purchasing a ticket here on the website, see âTicketsâ below.

âMinimum donationâ covers the costs of having the centre open and running our program. In addition to the minimum donation, if you wish to support the centre or other participants who cannot afford paying, you can donate a larger amount. It is a great opportunity to practice generosity and benefit others. When your order is completed, you will receive a confirmation email. Look in the junk mail folder if you purchased a ticket and havenât received a confirmation email.
