YIN YOGA

Yin yoga is a slow type of yoga comprising principles from traditional Chinese medicine with asanas (positions) in which one rests for a longer period of time. In this course we combine classic Yin Yoga with the cultivation of mental strategies from the buddhist tradition. These are presence, acceptance, kindness, patience, non-judging, joy, and letting go.

What will I learn?

We learn to respond to what happens in the yoga with the different mental strategies (such as acceptance or kindness). It can be reacting to some physical resistance in the body stemming from the challange of staying in a position for up to 3 minutes, or the wandering of a distracted mind. How can I respond to all this in a warm, open, and allowing way?
