All about Karma – weekend course with Venerable Namgyel – Live Streaming

This weekend course introduces you to the Buddhist concept of karma, the law of cause and effect, and what it means to take personal responsibility. The concept “karma” refers both to actions done, and also future actions of the three doors; our body, speech, and mind. We are actually creating new karma every day, every moment. And it all starts in the mind, as an intention.

Using examples from everyday life, we will analyze how actions determine their results – and cause us to experience either happiness or suffering. We will explore purification practices, such as meditation with four opponent powers. Instead of feeling guilty – which is not a constructive state of mind, we learn to deal with problems of life in a more constructive way, for instance by doing this kind of meditation. We´ll also present a daily meditation on karma.

All About Karma weekend course is open for everyone, for non-Buddhists and Buddhists – everyone who wants to learn what this well-known term really means, and not just having lots of assumptions about it. It can be studied independently – or as one of the fourteen modules being offered in the Discovering Buddhism program, which is now going on now at Yeshe Norbu Mind Training Centre.
