MINDFULNESS AND COMPASSION

In recent decades, brain research in two fields, mindfulness and compassion, has shown that we have brains that can be changed. Mental exercises such as mindfulness training and meditation can strengthen qualities such as focus, awareness, compassion and the ability to manage our emotions. Meditation makes us less stressed, friendlier to ourselves and others, sleep better, experience less worry and anxiety, feel more joy and satisfaction, and become more creative and mentally efficient. Research has also shown that our own well-being is dependent on our developing compassion for ourselves and others.

Our goal at Yeshin Norbu is to make mindfulness and compassion meditation techniques accessible to everyone. Just as we go to the gym to exercise the body physically, we want to contribute to a revolution where mind training and meditation becomes a natural part of our life as a means to care for our brains and minds.

There are many prejudices surrounding meditation. That it is something flaky, or that it is something that only has to do with religion. But it is, in fact, a scientifically proven method that helps us find more happiness and well-being in life. Which helps us to be kinder to ourselves and others. Just as jogging gives you better stamina no matter what you believe in, so does meditation give you better mental focus, relaxation and clarity.
